Neve Cosmetics Le Metamorfosi - It's Time To Change // First Impressions ✿

Here's another Neve Cosmetics Re-vamp launch for you. Let me introduce you to the new packaging for the Collection named "Le Metamorfosi"! 

Hello guys&girls!
I am here again to give a little presentation/first impressions for this old-but-new Collection: Le Metamorfosi! (aka Metamorphosis). Let's begin by saying I was completely oblivious of these products, as I always tend to dedicate my full attention to their eyeshadows and lip liners, so I didn't really know how to approach them.
As quoted by the brand itself - it's time to change! Meaning that their previous, a little anonymous, black on white packaging is gone and has been replaced by a charcoal grey background with pastel and white writings over it for the three products included. I must say I really, really like it, the hand-writing font, and the delicate heart, star and eye printed on the tubes are more minimalistic yet more elegant compared to their first launch -> look HERE for comparison.

DISCLAIMER: the Rugiada Per Makeup (Eyeshadow Primer) & Nebbia Fissante (Setting Spray) have only had their packaging changed, whilst the Nettare per Labbra (Lipstick Potion) is back after quite a while whit a new formula, enriched by argan, macadamia and almond oil.

But let's get to the goodies!

Nebbia Fissante - Makeup Fixing Mist 

"Nebbia Fissante is the multi-purpose protective spray to make your makeup last longer! Offers 3 different uses:

Makeup fixer
Spray onto finished makeup from about 20 cm from face to make makeup last longer.

Makeup base
Apply before makeup to make pigments easier to apply and adhere better.

Liquid application of makeup
Spray onto the brush just before applying eyeshadow, blush, or powder foundation to achieve brighter, long-lasting colours."   LINK

Okay, this little guy... or should I say big guy (it's huge haha!) comes in handy for when I've got to wet my beauty blender and apply my liquid foundation, AND also to make those eyeshadows pop. Yep, for that - incredible, and I've got such a big amount compared to what you usually get. It's definitely going to last me for a long, long time.

As a setting spray, uhm.

Let's start with the fact that it's quite a "wet" setting spray. Hope you know what I mean, I use the NYX Matte Setting Spray, and the mist that comes out of the applicator is definitely lighter, it will disperse straight away, whilst this one feels more like a delicate splash of water! That said, obviously the NYX one fails when it comes to wetting anything, because it's designed specifically for the face. 

So this one, being really versatile, doesn't feel like the ideal thing for setting my makeup. May I remind you also of my incredibly oily skin, for which not even MAC Fix+ works (which is actually pretty similar to Neve's Nebbia Fissante - so if you're into that and want to save loads, go get it!), so obiously my makeup struggled to stay in place even after application.

Nettare per Labbra - Lipstick Creative Potion and Gloss Treatment

"Multi-purpose vegan product, allows two types of uses:

Lipstick Creative Potion
Mix the lip-safe pigments with a drop of product to create beautiful custom-made, one-of-a-kind lipsticks and glosses.

Gloss + Treatment
Apply on dry and clean lips to moisturize, protect, and make them shiny but never sticky!

This product is a game changer, just like the "Rugiada", if you prefer saving money and utilize the shades you already have to create unique colours! Now, for sure you shouldn't start thinking you're set for life with matte lipsticks, but if you're a fan of glossy lippies, I would recommend buying this beauty. Let's just say you will be able to create your personalized Vernissage Glosses (depending on the amount of product used), which, like I've already said, aren't that sticky type of gloss I - at least- used to hate. 

The only advice I would give is to be careful with how much product you dispense and the gloss+shadow powder ratio, which will be essential to get the right amount of pigmentation. The first experiments were with Neve's Mineral Eyeshadow "Carnaby Street" & "Compilation" - the latter being my favourite! But as you scroll down you'll be able to see swatches for these two, plus Coral Reef & Sole d'Africa.

From a lip treatment point of view, apart from repeating my admiration for the kind of less sticky and annoying kinda gloss they have produced, Neve hasn't disappointed me when it came to its healing power. I can say I noticed the dryness and the cuts in my lips (Reminder = particularly stressful times) immediately improving after one application.

Rugiada per Makeup - Mixing Medium & Eyeshadow Base

"Multiuse vegan products with two different uses:

Eyeshadow Base
Apply to the whole eyelid with your finger before makeup to get an higher and long lasting perfomance. Just one drop is enough for both eyes.

Mixing Medium
Mix pigments with a drop of the product to create fantastic creamy customised eyeliners or eyeshadows. It can also be applied to your eyelashes to create spectacular unique mascaras."   LINK

Oh well. I admit the side of me which is a serial makeup hoarder has always been a bit sad about not having many eyeliner shades. Like the Lipstick Potion, this one's a little tricky from a dosage point of view (don't exaggerate with the liquid), but once that's learnt who can stop you really?!

Firstly, I tried to mix "Pixie Tears" (again, there'll be more swatches at the end of the post) - another loose mineral eyeshadow by Neve - with it and I can tell you, once it's on IT WON'T MOVE. *angels singing in the background*
As an eyeshadow primer, I am not sure I like the consistency of it, I'd rather have more of a creamy, tinted base for my eyes, whilst this is very liquid, again it depends on what you feel most comfortable with, even though I can confirm it's long lasting.

Here's the little swatches I did, a result of my experiments with both the Nettare & the Rugiada AND Neve's loose mineral eyeshadows, so you can get an idea of what I'm talking about! I think, if you're a makeup lover like myself, you'll definitely adore them.
