December Favourites!

Happy New Year my little Cinnamon Rolls! ❤
An unintentional rose-themed Favourites of the Month - December this time ;)
Special thanks to MAC, Morphe Brushes, The Balm, Sleek, NYX and last but not least - Bershka.

Okay, I was so focused on all the orders that I - ingenuously - placed before the holidays that I almost forgot about my monthly favourites! But I will ramble on about my traumatic online shopping experience in my future posts, so let's dive right into my most loved products from the month of December!
Although my most used products this month have certainly been Vicks Vaporub, Throat Spray, Vitamins and Antibiotics (that would of been quite original to write about - imagine the pictures haha), I thought I would also mention these little guys:

(Left: Velvet Teddy - Right: Birthday Suit)

MAC "Velvet Teddy":
Before I got it, I clearly remember me being completely oblivious of the Kylie Jenner craze that was going on. I was just looking for my first MAC lipstick to purchase and it turned out to be quite a nightmare - considering the quantity of swatch videos available online.
I'm not a risky person when it comes to make up, fashion...life in general (LOL), so a nude was definitely going to be the best option. But which one?
Velvet Teddy turned out to be THE one. Anyone who knows me is aware of my obsession with this lipstick, and I can confirm now that it's not only my obsession. Yes guys, the beauty gurus are right when they say this is perfect for many different skin tones.
And for someone as indecisive as me, this lipstick represents the best compromise: a gorgeous browny nude with pink undertones. The texture is very creamy for a matte lipstick, so there's absolutely no need to worry about it drying the lips.

SLEEK Matte Me Liquid Lipstick in "Birthday Suit":
I casually found this baby in Superdrug during one lovely shopping trip to Norwich (UK).
The ridiculously cheap price made me feel a bit suspicious, but I decided to go for it anyway, I mean - £4,99! You can't go wrong with that!
Birthday Suit is more of a pinky nude (I gravitate more towards brown tones but hey - YOLO!) and has got a really good colour pay-off. It wouldn't need a second layer, and stays on for long - although I'm afraid it wouldn't survive food and drinks much, but for its price it can easily be forgiven.
It feels really really light on the lips, more than the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream, which I find very similar duration-wise.
Also, I discovered it can be a great candidate as dupe for the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in "Lolita".

The Balm "Mary Lou Manizer" Highlighter & NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in 02 "Gleam":
I paired these two together, yes. But they're stunning on their own as well. The NYX Liquid Illuminator is multi-functional really: you can use it as a base for foundation, or apply it on the cheekbones once your look's completed. This specific shade is a rosey one, so it works as a blush as well as a highlighter. The effect is really really light and natural, that's why I like to make my highlight game stronger with some Mary Lou Manizer by The Balm, a beautiful champagne-toned powder highlighter.

Morphe Brushes Deluxe Fan Brush (from the 18 piece 686 Vegan Brush Set):
The excitement is real. I finally managed to get my hands on my first ever Morphe Brushes Set. It was a birthday present ordered from Beautybay.
What can I say, I'm in heaven haha!
This fan brush was also my first ever fan brush - before I could use this beauty I used to apply highlighter with the Real Techniques Contour Brush, and.... Yeah, definitely a YAY from me, much more precise, and I think it performs better than a smaller fan brush.

Bershka Chokers:
The only trend from the '90s I appreciate coming back! It took me back to when we used to find those elastic, plasticky ones as a surprise in packets of crisps :D Also - so greasy! haha
This is definitely the grown-up, grease-free version. The blush pink velvet choker caught my eye, but they're all so adorable.

What are your favourites of the month? Leave a comment below and let me know :)
Hope you enjoyed this post and have a fabulous 2017!
