November Favourites!

Let's crack on with these favourites of the month!
I know it can be a very cliché thing to say, but WHERE has November gone? How can it already be December?!
My most loved things this month include Urban Decay, NYX, La Roche-Posay, Eylure and a couple of Non-beauty products ;)

It's been a busy, and I must admit, quite stressful month. Among all the health problems I've had, family stuff, I had uni and let's be honest, I wasn't able to buy loads of new products to try. But it's actually been a good thing, as I could fully concentrate on stuff I've been using for a good few months.

Let's start with:

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo(+)
This has become my go-to day cream. I tend to use it in the morning, even though it says morning AND/OR evening. It is specific for acne-prone, or blemish-prone skin. Personally I'm more towards the second option, However, depending on my stress levels, I do break out and that's where this baby comes to the rescue.
The official description swears this product will:
-Reduce the appearance of blemishes & marks
-Unclog pores
-Smooth the skin
It's very lightweight, and absorbs quickly. Now, to be honest, I haven't yet experienced the "unclogging of the pores", although it does manage to prevent the appearance of spots, or get rid of existing ones. Of course this won't happen in the blink of an eye, it soothes them until they eventually vanish. Definitely a YES from me.

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation
Before I purchased this I watched a few videos and everyone was rambling on about how good it was, especially for oily skin as it was mattifying and stayed all day. So I thought - why not?
I was in England, my foundation had nearly come to an end. It was time.
The colour matching was done in Debenhams by a lovely girl at the UD stand who helped me get the shade 3.0. Once you apply it, I have to say a small pump is all it takes for a full coverage. Maybe a tiny bit more is needed on red marks, but overall it's fine. Also, it's extremely important to work with it quickly as it oxidizes fast, and changes colour a bit, that's probably why the shade I got is ever so slightly lighter than my skin tone at a first glance, but comes out perfect once oxidized.
In addition, I can confirm it's waterproof. Why? Because as a contact lens wearer I use eye drops multiple times a day and the foundation stays put.
Lastly from a finish point of view, the foundation IS mattifying but my oiliness does shine through after a few hours. Nothing a good old powder can't fix!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in "Abu Dhabi"  (Boots link here)
I've had this lippie for a while now, and I always go back to it!
I bought it when the NYX store in Porta di Roma launched, and I was so excited I peed a little. (JOOOKING...... maybe.)
This liquid lipstick is really inexpensive, I think I payed 7,70 euros and I wasn't disappointed.
It's definitely matte, a bit drying on the lips maybe, but that doesn't bother me that much. It's really easy to apply and OH GOD what a gorgeous nude, definitely for every day use. The only downside is that it 's not really long-wearing, it won't survive food - so if you don't mind re-applying it go for it!

Eylure Enchanted After Dark - Into Darkness Lashes
I don't know how many times I've said I loved these lashes on Instagram so far. I'll say it once more on here, because they are so ridiculously beautiful, and I put them on every time I defeat my laziness and make an effort to put make up on.
Of course, because I like big lashes, these have become my go-to, but I understand they can't be everyone's cup of tea, especially if you prefer a more subtle, natural effect. I swear though, they are not extremely dramatic, and will definitely make your eyes pop!

MOVING ON TO NON-BEAUTY:

Legami Me&You Audio Splitter
I do love my music, and when I found this little guy I couldn't leave it there. It's a cute camera-shaped double headphone jack. It can be quite handy when you're with other people and want to listen to the same tunes let's say - on a long train journey for example!

FABULOUS Unicorn Slippers
I know you're hyperventilating, I would too. These are the cutest slippers I've ever seen in my life, and I must say, the most comfortable. They are super soft and warm, which is perfect for these winter nights. I mean, can't you just see yourself with a nice cup of tea and these bad boys on?
My boyfriend got me these as a gift from New Look, after this exact request of mine: "Get me something fluffy. On Christmas day I want to snuggle up in fluffy pyjamas, with fluffy slippers. I want to be mistaken for a bunny rabbit".

Craziness aside, I hope you enjoyed my November favourites nearly as much as I did!
Feel free to leave a comment and follow this little blog if you like ;) xx
