Labo Filler Make-up // Labo Suisse Review

What's up everybody, how ya doin'? Hope you're excited to learn more about a makeup line brought to you by Labo Suisse, a Swisse-Italian brand specialized in skincare and haircare.

THE BRAND:
Labo Cosprophar Suisse is a cosmetic brand active since 1989 in the research for the best, most innovative beauty products for consumers. The year 2007 was revolutionary, as the brand designed hyaluronic acid filled products applicable externally to ensure an injection-free, rejuvenating experience, and for that they've been praised by the press worldwide. As you may already know, hyaluronic acid is a natural substance present in our skin that allows our body to hold in moisture. By aging, we gradually lose this capacity, and that's when we begin looking fatigued and wrinkly.

After the success that came with their Fillerina, the Labo Suisse team had another intriguing idea: create a make-up line that would follow the same philosophy, where the customer would have part of their skincare routine already added to their makeup process. The Labo Filler Make-up line was born, and here's where you can take a look at it. I mean- the packaging screams luxury everywhere, but it's never too much, just a sleek gold with intricate designs all over it.

Now, before I give you more details about the three products I got to try, I'd like to thank The Labo Suisse team, and Umberto, in particular, for being so kind. It always makes my heart skip a beat when a beauty lover like myself has the incredible chance to find and test out new goodies <3

SMOOTHING CREAM FOUNDATION:

I got one the liquid foundations available, exactly 40 ml of product with SPF15 and a range of 6 shades:

  •  21 Ivory
  •  22 Rosy Beige
  •  23 Natural
  •  24 Rosy Sand
  •  25 Caramel
  •  26 Golden
I chose the first colour, Ivory, and it was, surprisingly, a perfect match. I'm not the palest in the world and my undertone is yellowy-ish, same as many other girls who also reviewed this foundation, so I guess this shade may be the standard "pale" for Mediterranean skin. In my opinion, the shade range can and should be extended, as this could be a game changer in the makeup industry, especially for mature and dry skin.

The consistency is a little thicker than the All Nighter Foundation by Urban Decay (as you may know, my go-to), and I was happy to see it had the same full coverage. It goes on very smoothly and adheres well to the skin when patted with a beauty blender onto the face. It is advertised for all skin types, and yes, that is true, but y'all oily girls know that it might mean more touch-ups during the day for us.

It came at the right moment though, not sure if I mentioned it before, but I'm experiencing little dry patches around my nose and chin lately (probably due to winter cold) - so it was ideal for those.
When it definitely wouldn't be my cup of tea is during the summer time, and I prefer wearing something lighter anyway.

LIGHTENING TOUCH CONCEALER:

I don't particularly suffer from dark circles and I can cover all my acne scars with a good foundation, so when it comes to concealer, in my case, it has to be more of a natural highlighter. That's why I went for this one, it it slightly lighter than the foundation I described (you can see it on the left compared to the foundation in the next picture), and it feels light on the skin as well.

It's brightening, and I like to "bake" it for a minute afterwards, so there's no lines. It contains the same 6 hyaluronic acids as  the other two products picked, and it comes in 3 shades:

  •  201 Alabaster
  •  202 Natural
  •  203 Light Beige
I got the lightest one of them, 201 Alabaster, and it gives a soft highlighting effect, though sometimes I like it a little more "dramatic", that's why I will stand by my word on wanting more shades!

OVER CURL MASCARA:

The issue with my lashes is: they're tiny and quite flat, that's the reason why I tend to wear falsies all the time, even in my everyday makeup. I picked up this curling mascara because I needed something what would blend my real lashes with the false ones effortlessly - seeing that was what I was looking for, I can say they do their job, and they do it good. The applicator is standard, and the actual product inside is not too liquid, the natural waxes make it easy and smudge-proof to apply.

I put on a couple of layers and obtain what you can see in the picture, so if you just want to give your lashes a lift, if your only aim is to curl them, this one's been made for you! If not, there's a lengthening option as well, and one that will add volume to your lashes, from the same line.

I hope you found the review useful. I'm happy to share my experience with brands that have A LOT of potential, especially if it makes it possible for people living outside of Italy to discover their worth. Lemme know if you already knew Labo Suisse or if you'd love to try any of their products in a comment below!
And as usual, see you in the next one xx
