Superheroine Capsule Collection // Neve Cosmetics + Sara Pichelli Collab

Hello again after another lifetime of absence. Instead of rambling on how that was possible and what I've had to do - let's jump straight into this mini collection by our favourite Italian brand. 

Yet again, Neve Cosmetics has expanded their Pastello range - not that we mind - but this time it comes with something special dedicated to all of us superwomen of everyday ;)
The news is our 3 lipliners come in a beautiful box where a superheroine is depicted in all her glory. Who could be the mysterious author?
If you read the title you'll know Sara Pichelli realised the packaging for this new collection, inspired by the colours of the three products contained in it.

Who's Sara?

She's the drawer and creator of the character Miles Morales, new Spiderman in the 2019 film called Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse.

I always appreciate how personal and full of details every launch is - and this one hasn't disappointed me so far.

The image of the collection was specifically designed by comic artist Sara Pichelli, who created the SuperHeroine character by interpreting the colours of the three lipsticks.

TRANCE
Saturated Fuchsia with dark periwinkle blue interference. The power of ambiguity and risk. The alter ego.

Surely the most peculiar out of the three, Trance has a really creamy texture, which is a tiny bit difficult to manage, especially if you have shaky hands like me - but I promise once it's on it will give your makeup that kick it desperately needed! Everything cold toned for some reason catches my eye, and those blue reflexes make it irresistible. It's definitely the most buttery of the collection, and I tried to find a perfect dupe but honestly I didn't own anything even remotely similar.
It's made for statement lips so a little eyeliner and your face will steal the show!

IMMORTAL

Dark hazel nude with a universal, eternal beauty. Can't pass unnoticed... even in disguise.

I placed this little guy as second in the list because it's creamy but that right amount of creamy-ness you need to apply it smoothly. This one would be a go-to for my everyday looks. Everything about Immortal screams "Erika" (which is my name, for anyone wondering); because I love nudes, especially nude colours which tend to a beige/brown. It is honestly gorgeous, and reminds me of Velvet Teddy by Mac Cosmetics - a Kylie Jenner must-have!

Contrarily to the idea its name can give, it's not actually immortal, so after food or a few hours you'll definitely need a touch-up. Avoid cold shades on the eyes for this one and you're good.

Tartan and Vino seemed like the closest to it shade-wise, but I could probably just save Tartan, which is still a little to rose-y in comparison.

BLOOD

Intense blood red. Dark, proud, velvety and bewitching. Undoubtedly protagonist.

Blood is my least favourite for colour and texture I must say. I just am not a sucker for reds, although this vampy shade is beautiful anyway. I find they don't suit me too well, plus it really is on the dry side. You can even see it from the picture, it picked up all the ugly bits on my lower lip, and it wasn't great to apply. It is the slightly more orange, matte version of Lychee, another Pastello lip pencil by Neve. I suggest to moisturize the lips before trying it on, I'm sure you can make it work.

 CONCLUSION

As usual, they found a perfect match for each and every one of us, and surely know how to propose a long time favourite with a little somethin' that gives it a special touch. Whether you're a red lippie lover or are looking for a perfect metallic without breaking the bank….Neve got you girl! May I remind you how cool these pencils are - they can be used as lipstick - and for what I can say, if you're less adventurous, Immortal is a classic nude to always have on you (you cannot go wrong)!
